The familiar adage states: "no one is good at everything but everyone is good at something." It's simply a case of finding out what that "something" (or "somethings") might be. Students are identified as "gifted and talented" based upon intellect or high test scoring, academic aptitude, creative or productive thinking, leadership ability, visual and performing arts skills and psychomotor ability, such as practical, spatial, mechanical and physical skills.
