New York - Citywide
- A.P.P.L.E. (Actively and Positively Parenting and Lovingly Educating) functions as a family group where families of like interests can come together in a variety of ways.
- Homeschool New York is for families who are homeschooling in the New York City Area. The purpose is to share information about workshops, trips, classes, meet-ups etc. that are of interest. Home educators are also welcome to post on topics (newspaper articles, curriculum, websites,etc.) that may be of interest to homeschoolers. They are inclusive and secular, although diversity and acceptance are welcome and encouraged.
- Jewish Home Educators of New York City (JHENYC) is a meeting place for homeschooling or unschooling Jewish parents (or those just thinking about it) living in or around New York City. It is a place to discuss issues unique to New York-area Jewish homeschoolers and unschoolers.

Manhattan
- Different Directions on West 57th St.
- The ROC (Resource and Opportunity Center) for Homeschoolers, is open to homeschooling families in the New York City area, and serves as a gathering/meeting place and informal resource center. Their home base is in the East Village and there are various other locations including The Dana Discovery Center in Central Park, The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew on the Upper West Side, and the New York Riding Academy on Randall's Island, among others.
Bronx
- The Uhuru Homeschool Hut (Bronx) offers anAfrican–centered to a curriculum that will best fulfill the needs of children, communities and people in hopes to initiate global solutions.
Brooklyn
Queens
- Queens County Homeschoolers Field trips, outings, educational opportunities, socialization network and so much more.
- Queens Homeschoolers is a secular homeschooling group based in Queens, New York. They host and attend events in Queens County and surrounding areas. The group is open to all homeschoolers regardless of homeschooling philosophy, religion or ethnic background. They also invite those who are interested in home schooling their children in the future to join us in order to learn more.
Staten Island
- Staten Island Homeschoolers is a group open to all Staten Island home schoolers. They welcome people of all religious backgrounds and theoretical approaches!
