After examining Ice Age art and the cave paintings of Lescaux and Altamira, students made charcoal drawings of animals.

Ancient Islamic Art (Persia)
Fall 2007.

After learning about the intellectual achievements of the Golden Age of Islam and viewing examples of their decorative motifs and tessellated patterns, students made block prints and experimented with rotational symmetry.
